This guide covers the hosted Remake 0.30 and Classic 3.18 packages. Their Windows setup differs: Remake includes a launcher and resources; Classic includes an installer. Android steps apply only to the Remake APK.
Choose the package for your device, follow the steps for your edition, and back up saves before updating. The guide covers Windows ZIP files and the Remake Android APK.
Step 1 · Select
For the versions recorded here, choose the Remake 0.30 ZIP on Windows, the Remake 0.30 APK on Android, or the Classic 3.18 ZIP on Windows. Classic does not have an Android file in this catalog. Keep the filename and download-page URL.
Step 2 · Verify
Wait for the download to finish and confirm the filename. If the selected file record provides a byte size or SHA-256, compare it with the download. In PowerShell, replace this example with your file path: Get-FileHash -LiteralPath "C:\Downloads\pvzhybrid.org-0.30.zip" -Algorithm SHA256 A local hash is useful only when compared with a published reference; it does not by itself verify the package.
Step 3 · Extract or install
Windows Remake: extract the whole ZIP. Keep the EXE, matching .pck, and data_PlantsVsZombies_windows_x86_64 directory together inside 植物大战僵尸杂交重制版. Windows Classic: extract the ZIP, then open 植物大战僵尸杂交版v3.18安装程序.exe inside 植物大战僵尸杂交版v3.18 and follow its installation prompts. Android Remake: open the downloaded APK in the device package installer. If requested, allow installation only for the browser or file manager used, then turn that permission off afterwards. Do not uninstall an existing copy merely to bypass an update error: its local saves may be removed.
Step 4 · Launch
Remake 0.30: run 植物大战僵尸杂交版发布版0.30.0.Csharp.exe from the extracted folder. Moving only the EXE separates it from required resources. Classic: after installation, the community guide identifies pvzHE-Launcher.exe as the launcher; the installer is not the game launcher. Check that the menu and one level load, then exit normally. Do not run bundled registry files, DEP scripts, or optional patches as routine setup steps.
Step 5 · Back up
For Classic, the community guide documents this default save location. Paste it into File Explorer: %ProgramData%\Popcap Games\PlantsVsZombies\pvzHE\yourdata Close the game and copy the entire yourdata folder to a dated backup elsewhere. It can include users.dat, user1.HEd and records. Copying only the installation folder does not back up this separate location. If the folder is absent, confirm your installation and save location before proceeding. For Remake and Android, retain the existing installation and use a documented export or backup before replacing it.
Step 6 · Diagnose
ZIP will not open: finish or repeat the download; compare a published hash when available. Remake reports missing resources: check that its EXE, .pck and data directory are still together, then extract a fresh copy. Classic installer finished but the game did not open: find the installed launcher, rather than rerunning optional repair scripts. Android rejects an update: record the exact installer message and existing version; do not delete the existing app or saves. For an unresolved failure, record edition, version, OS, filename, error text and the action immediately before it.
