The update stream starts with Remake and keeps Classic announcements separate, explaining which files changed and linking each record to the matching download and installation guidance.
Update channel active
Remake 0.26.1 and 0.26 files and the Classic 3.18 archive are connected, while their release histories remain tracked separately.
Remake channel
Each entry is designed to answer what changed, which edition it affects, and whether existing saves or translations need action.
01
Remake channel
Remake 0.26.1 is the featured release
Remake updates use the independent 0.x line. Version 0.26.1 is the current Remake record on this site for Windows and Android, while 0.26 remains available as a clearly marked previous release. A Remake announcement should identify the affected platform, package, language status, installation impact, and any save or rollback concern. It should never be merged with Classic 3.x notes merely because both games appear under the PVZ Hybrid name.
02
Classic channel
Classic 3.18 remains separate
Classic updates use the separate 3.x line. Use the 3.18 page for the current Classic Windows archive, documented additions and fixes, English compatibility, and the upgrade path from version 3.17. The retained 3.17 page remains a historical record and rollback target. Comparing Classic and Remake by their numbers alone is invalid; each update entry must name the edition first and link to the exact release page that owns its file.
03
File change policy
Every replacement gets a new record
When a hosted archive changes, its filename, size, checksum, publication date, supported version, platform, and related instructions should be reviewed together. Size and checksum are not currently available for every file, so the page does not invent them or claim cryptographic verification. Replacing bytes under an unchanged release record would make troubleshooting ambiguous; a meaningful package change should create or update a version-specific record and keep the previous release clearly labeled when it remains downloadable.
04
Translation impact
Recheck English compatibility after updates
An English patch or translated build can depend on exact text tables, images, fonts, and executable resources. When Classic or Remake changes version, do not assume the previous translation remains compatible. The update record should name whether a translation is confirmed, pending, or unknown, and the English page should continue to distinguish a patch from a complete build. Preserve a clean base installation and apply language files to a copy after the supported edition and version are explicit.
05
Installation impact
Back up before changing versions
Before installing any update, back up saves and configuration, preserve the working directory, and extract the new package separately unless an in-place method is documented. Launch the clean new build before adding translations or old assets. This process makes rollback possible and reveals whether a failure belongs to the release, the language package, mixed files, or the device. Platform changes must also be explicit because Windows ZIP and Android APK workflows are not interchangeable.

How to read this channel
Follow edition, version, and evidence
Start with the edition name, then the version, platform, and publication facts. Use the linked release page for the exact download and the installation guide for setup. A page described only as latest PVZ Hybrid download can become misleading as soon as one branch updates, so this channel keeps Remake and Classic records separate and preserves prior versions intentionally. Where a fact such as file size, checksum, or compatibility has not been supplied, the page says so instead of filling the gap with an unsupported claim.
